This video had a huge impact on me for some reason! I think that one of the best feelings you could have is to know that if you died today, you would be ready to meet the Savior and have him be proud of you. Its so important to live your life in a way where you always keep an eternal perspective, remembering the reason why you are here and your purpose in life. As I think about it, at this point in my life I think that if i were to die tomorrow, I could be proud of how I have lived my life. My ultimate goal is that when I meet the Lord, he can give me a huge hug and say, "I'm so proud of you, Alex" And right now, even though I know I have alot to improve on, I think that I am on the right track, to achieve that goal. And knowing that is the best feeling in the world.
Anyways, on a less serious note.. Life right now is so good! I have so many awesome people in my life who make it so good and I'm so grateful for them!! And now with Christmas so close, I can't control my excitement!! hahaha So I apologize if you're with me and I have some random outburst of excitement.. :) Christmas is just my favorite! Today out home teacher retold the Christmas story to my family and as I was listening to it, I just had this huge feeling that what he was saying is so true. I really think it is so easy to forget the reason why we celebrate Christmas while were in the middle of all the presents and stuff. But I also know that when you remember the real spirit of Christmas, it makes it a whole lot more memorable! I don't remember all the details about all the Christmas i had when i was younger, but one thing that sticks out more than anything else is when my family and some friends of ours adopted a family for christmas and gave them all their presents. And just this month my ward did the same thing with the youth, and it felt so good to donate money and then go and buy presents for families! I think i will remember that more than anything this Christmas too!
Merry Christmas everyone!!

"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."
Quote of the month: "As we give, we find that 'sacrifice brings forth the blessings of heaven' and in the end we learn it was no sacrifice at all." -Spencer W. Kimball
In light of the Christmas season, I thought that quote would be a good one to live by this month!
As finals approach, and all the stress of everything comes, it's so easy to be negative. Today in church we were talking about how we strengthen ourselves, and the thought came to me that one of the biggest things I do to strengthen myself is by looking at the positives in life. I know that i give off the appearance that I am always happy, but thats not always the case, but even when I'm not feeling very happy, I still put on a smile, because I know that that smile will have some kind of effect, whether its on me or someone else. Today I actually came across a quote that said " Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle. " Personally, I know that when i'm feeling down, if someone smiles at me or says something nice, I instantly get cheered up. So why not do that for other people? You never know how far a kind act will go.
